Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Sample Analyst supports end-to-end sample management across Merchandise and Marketing by ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and visibility of all product samples. This role maintains the data systems behind sample operations, manages inventory accuracy, develops dashboards, and partners cross-functionally to ensure sample needs are met for product reviews, campaigns, photoshoots and PDP.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and proficient in advanced Excel and Power BI, with a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights

Primary Responsibilities:

Sample Data & Inventory Management

·       Maintain accurate sample inventory records—including received samples, distributed items, in-use samples, and returns—across all categories and seasons.

·       Ensure all data in sample management systems, PLM, and tracking databases is consistently updated and validated.

·       Manage sample check-in/check-out processes and ensure proper documentation and labelling.

Reporting & Analytics

·       Build, automate, and maintain dashboards in Power BI for inventory accuracy, sample availability, usage trends, and operational KPIs.

·       Create advanced Excel reports (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, Power Query, etc.) to support Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and eCommerce teams.

·       Conduct root-cause analysis for discrepancies, delays, or sample loss and present findings with clear recommendations.

Operational Support

·       Support the Senior Manager in planning seasonal sample needs and forecasting requirements based on calendars and campaign plans.

·       Collaborate with Merchandising, Creative, and Marketing teams to ensure sample requests are prioritized, recorded, and fulfilled on time.

·       Assist with organizing sample rooms, improving storage layout, and maintaining operational standards.

Process Improvement

·       Identify inefficiencies in data flow, tracking, and reporting; propose process improvements to increase accuracy and speed.

·       Support the rollout of new tools, systems enhancements, or workflow changes across the sample management function.

Cross-Functional Partnership

·       Communicate sample availability, issues, and delays proactively with stakeholders.

·       Work closely with vendors and internal teams to track inbound sample shipments and resolve missing information or documentation.

Qualifications

Experience

·       2–4+ years of experience in sample management, merchandising operations, supply chain, inventory management, or analytics roles.

·       Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas, Power Query, macros preferred).

·       Proficiency in Power BI preferred including data modelling, DAX, dashboard creation, and automated refresh pipelines.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data across multiple categories or seasons.

·       Experience with inventory, PLM, or sample tracking systems (Airtable, Centric, NuOrder, or similar).

·       Strong communication skills and ability to partner across teams.

Preferred

·       Experience in retail, fashion, consumer goods, or marketing operations.

·       Familiarity with photo studio workflows, ecommerce sample needs, or campaign production timelines.

·       Intermediate knowledge of SQL or other data tools (nice to have).

Pay Range:$82,500---$117,100

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. PVH is committed to providing a market-competitive total rewards package to eligible associates, which includes diverse and robust health and insurance benefits to meet the varied needs of our associates and an above-market 401(k) contribution to help our associates save for retirement. Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible.
