Job briefWe are seeking a
Salesforce Vlocity CPQ Architect with deep expertise in Vlocity and Communications Cloud to lead the design and implementation of complex Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions tailored to telco-specific use cases. This role is focused exclusively on Salesforce Industries (formerly Vlocity), not the traditional Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick), and requires strong architectural leadership and hands-on experience with Telco data models and OmniStudio components.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce Industries CPQ (Vlocity CPQ) solutions within Communications Cloud or related industry clouds
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, performant CPQ solutions using Vlocitys Industry Process Library, Product Models, and Rules Engines
- Design and configure product catalogs, pricing plans, promotions, and rules using the Industries CPQ framework
- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders to align CPQ functionality with broader system architecture
- Define best practices for Vlocity Product Configuration, Pricing Rules, and Decomposition
- Oversee the use of OmniStudio (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, FlexCards) to enable guided user experiences
- Drive governance, version control, and documentation for all CPQ assets and rules
- Mentor technical teams and ensure CPQ designs are in line with Salesforce Industries reference architecture
- Stay current with Salesforce Industries product roadmap and release updates
Requirements- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 2+ years hands-on with Salesforce Industries CPQ (Vlocity CPQ)
- Deep understanding of the Vlocity product catalog, pricing engine, rules engine, and decomposition process
- Experience with OmniStudio (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, FlexCards)
- Hands-on experience implementing CPQ solutions in Communications Cloud or other Salesforce Industry Clouds
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce core platform, Apex, SOQL, and integration patterns
- Salesforce Industries CPQ and OmniStudio certifications highly preferred
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and solution documentation skills
