Job Description:

We are seeking a Sales Support Consultant to join the Equipment Management Support team within Cat Solutions & Services (CS&S). In this role, you will leverage your expertise in developing maintenance and repair strategies, performing maintenance strategy reviews, site assessments and providing subject matter expertise to Caterpillar and Dealer Field personnel across Mining, Quarrying and Waste Industries. You will work closely with commercial, operations, and dealer teams to develop maintenance and repair strategies, build equipment operational models, to support contract execution t activities, and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve customer outcomes, fleet performance, and equipment lifecycle value.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop maintenance and repair operational strategies and for Cat Solutions & Services customers and agreements.

  • Analyze fleet and maintenance data to support customer-specific equipment management strategies and equipment life cycle decisions.

  • Monitor Cat Solutions & Services agreements performance and provide recommendations to improve contract health, profitability, and customer value.

  • Support rebuilds, repair, and replacement planning through data-driven analysis and equipment management best practices.

  • Evaluate component life strategies and provide recommendations based on machine application and operating conditions.

  • Collaborate with commercial, operations, and dealer teams to support contract review audits, and service agreement development.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency and business performance.

What Skills You Will Have:

Technical Excellence: Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance and repair strategy development, equipment lifecycle management, fleet optimization, and Customer support solutions across the Mining, Quarrying and Waste Industries.

Customer Focus: Partner with customers and dealers to develop strategies that improve equipment reliability, reduce operating costs, and maximize fleet value.

Analytical Thinking: Interpret complex maintenance, operational, and financial data to identify trends, evaluate opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.

Relationship Management: Build credibility and trusted partnerships across Caterpillar, dealer, and customer organizations to influence outcomes and deliver business results.

Communication & Influence: Present technical recommendations and financial analyses in a clear and compelling manner to support alignment and decision-making across diverse stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that enhance processes, strengthen service agreement performance, and improve customer outcomes.

  • Knowledge of Caterpillar service systems, tools, and support processes.

Additional Information:

The primary work location for this role is Peoria, Il, with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.

Travel requirements for this position may be up to 25%.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
