Overview

As a Senior Deals Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team in WDS that is responsible for Pricing, Strategic Deals, and Investments. We manage a large discretionary investments budget, we oversee an extensive strategic deals portfolio, and we lead investment strategy across a multi-billion-dollar incentive stack.

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for designing, closing, and managing strategic deals and new business models with Microsoft's hardware partner ecosystem in close collaboration with Finance Teams, Sales Teams and Business Planning Teams within Microsoft. We seek a determined, analytical, creative, and experienced business leader to join us in evolving this critical capability.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:
  • Partner across stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Finance, Business Planning, Engineering Groups, Account Sales/Marketing, Legal, and Operations to build and land strategic deals:
    • Build business case with supporting data to define goals and secure executive approvals
    • Build subject matter expertise on ecosystem dynamics, market opportunities/gaps and product and compete strategies globally
    • Own market research and analysis required to drive deal decisions
    • Drive an ongoing and evolving accountability discipline with sales teams
    • Identify new opportunities via product expansion and new geo coverage
  • Manage, evolve, and improve the ROI of Strategic Deals and lead performance management discipline, including metrics, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Presenting deal performance and strategy to CVP leadership across Microsoft
  • Guide leadership decision-making with best-in-class analytics and cohesive rational

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.


Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, finance, banking, technology, investment management, or other relevant experience.
  • Experience with bargaining and negotiation is a plus.


Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
