We are looking for a Sales Representative who is passionate about helping businesses keep their facilities cleaner, healthier, greener, and safer.
The Distributor Sales Representative - National Accounts is responsible for growing and managing national account business within an assigned local market. This role serves as the primary local sales contact for national and multi-location customers, developing strong customer relationships while driving sales of janitorial, foodservice, and packaging supplies. The representative will partner with customers to understand their operational needs, identify cost-saving and product opportunities, introduce new products and programs, and ensure exceptional service. This position requires a strong combination of relationship management, business development, product knowledge, and execution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and grow relationships with national and multi-location accounts within the assigned local market.
- Develop and execute account-specific sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
- Build relationships with purchasing managers, operations leaders, facility managers, foodservice professionals, and other key customer decision-makers.
- Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet across janitorial, sanitation, foodservice, and packaging product categories.
- Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, product presentations, and sales meetings.
- Prospect within existing national accounts to identify additional locations and departments that can be served.
- Introduce new products, private-label solutions, cost-saving alternatives, and value-added services.
- Analyze customer purchasing patterns and recommend opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, pricing recommendations, and customer-specific programs in partnership with internal teams.
- Coordinate with customer service, purchasing, operations, suppliers, and distribution center teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally while maintaining strong long-term relationships.
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, pricing, and product developments within the local market.
- Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, forecasts, and opportunities in the company CRM.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales, gross-margin, retention, and new-business goals.
- Participate in trade shows, customer events, supplier meetings, and other business-development activities.
- Ensure national account programs and pricing agreements are properly implemented at the local level.
- Serve as the local-market liaison between corporate/national account leadership and customer locations.

- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and build strong relationships
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, selling, and presentation skills.
- Training abilities to enhance customer knowledge.
- Ability to learn and utilize Salesforce
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $80,000- $90,000 per year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
