As part of the global commercial team, the Sales Operations
Analyst will play a key role in supporting the sales forecasting process, providing inside sales support and performing market intelligence in the markets we operate in, with a high focus on the operations in the
United States. This position will pro-actively analyze internal and external commercial performance, evaluate data and identify trends and suggest policy changes to support the objectives of the commercial strategy.
Key responsibilities- Analyze revenue and volume performance across terminal, regional, and global levels, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights.
- Lead and coordinate the volume forecasting process in collaboration with Global Sales Leads, terminal CCOs, Finance, and Revenue Management.
- Conduct proactive market intelligence and competitive benchmarking to identify new business opportunities and support commercial strategy.
- Support customer-facing commercial activities by developing tailored analyses, modeling sales scenarios, and preparing presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of the APM Terminals Business System and improve sales processes.
- Perform ad hoc analyses including deep dives, market studies, forecast revisions, and customer feedback assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recommending enhancements, and participating in or leading Kaizen initiatives.
What we are looking for- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical, data-driven solutions.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and interpreting complex datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Business acumen and financial literacy, with an understanding of commercial drivers and market dynamics.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and across global, cross-functional teams.
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or port terminal operations is an advantage, as is exposure to Lean or process improvement methodologies.
Salary: $90K - $120K
Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Full Time (Monday - Friday in office)
