Sales Manager. Incorporated in 1996, Powertec has evolved into a leading service and equipment provider in the power distribution system. We provide services to the mining, utility, oil, and gas companies.
***Start Date is Negotiable***Essential Duties- Develop and drive revenue growth by executing sales strategies and identifying market opportunities.
- Configure CRM by building the dashboard to ensure accountability of direct reports and to match PowerTec's selling strategies.
- Run weekly quote pipelines reviews with outside representatives with a focus on accountability within forcasted discipline.
- Work with engineering and production managers to maintain production pipeline.
- Manage day-to-day operations of inside sales; including performing weekly reviews with team to focus on quote throughput, RFQ response time and follow-up cadence.
- Coordinate application engineer suport for sales team.
- Prioritize RFQ, proposal quality and turnaround time in order to smoothly handoff to Operations.
- Deliver weekly sales dashboard
- Review and approve sales team expense reports and deliver to appropriate department.
- Develop commission reports and send to Outside Sales representatives for review and approval; send to appropriate departments for processing.
- Work with appropriate departments to create and implement marketing strategies throughout the company.
- Ensure customer interactions and relationships meets PowerTec quality standards.
- Ensure invoices are paid as applicable.
- Create, review and maintain sales and marketing budget.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Management Duties- Develop strategies and ensure the right resources are available.
- Ensure team is productive and morale is maintained.
- Drive accountability through performance metrics, regular feedback, and formal evaluations.
- Provide timely performance reviews throughout the year.
- Partner with human resources to address conflict within the department.
- Forecast and budget to maximize resources.
- Monitor costs related to labor, maintenance, utilities, fuel, parts, and contracted services.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising safety, compliance, or service quality.
- Develop systems and processes to delivering reliable service, safe environments, high equipment availability, and continuous improvement across warehouse, facilities, and fleet functions.
- Manage internal and external customer expectations.
Required Skills/Abilities- High attention to detail with strong organizational discipline and the ability to build processes, systems, and related measurements.
- Experience configuring, administering, and enforcing sales adoption of a CRM. NetSuite preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing requirements and lean planning, preferred.
- Experience with Industrial Sales (B2B sales) strategies and techniques.
- Comfortable managing varying direct reports; including employees that carry sales quotas and perform engineering.
- Some product and application knowledge of LV, MV, switchgears, and MCC.
- Must have oral and written communication skills to address varying situations and audiences.
- Ability to manage own emotions.
- Must be able to strategize and think analytically.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel.
Education and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience running and supervising and working alongside warehouses.
Physical Requirements- Comfortable working in an office environment.
- Ability to sit and type for prolonged periods of time.
