Job Summary

This position will be responsible for developing and executing the U.S. sales strategy, establishing and expanding retail and distribution channels, building and managing a nationwide network of independent sales representatives, and developing relationships with key accounts across the golf industry.

The Sales Manager will work closely with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams to support successful product launches, strengthen Sena's presence in the U.S. golf market, and drive sustainable revenue growth. The ideal candidate has strong experience developing new business, managing sales channels and independent representative networks, and building a product category or territory from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and execute the U.S. sales strategy for Sena's golf product portfolio, including electric golf trolleys, laser rangefinders, and future golf products.
  • Establish sales targets, channel strategies, pricing approaches, and go-to-market plans to support product launches and long-term growth.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key accounts, including golf courses, pro shops, specialty golf retailers, sporting goods retailers, distributors, and other relevant sales channels.
  • Develop new retail and wholesale accounts and expand Sena Golf's presence across the U.S. market.
  • Negotiate wholesale pricing, commercial terms, promotional programs, and other account agreements while maintaining appropriate channel margins and brand positioning.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular updates on opportunities, account development, and sales performance.
  • Prepare sales forecasts by product, account, territory, and region to support inventory and supply planning.
  • Represent Sena Technologies at golf industry trade shows, exhibitions, customer meetings, and other industry events.


Independent Sales Representative Network Management

  • Develop and manage a nationwide network of independent sales representatives to support Sena Golf's U.S. market expansion.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard qualified independent sales representatives based on territory and business needs.
  • Establish territory coverage, sales expectations, quotas, commission structures, and other terms associated with independent representative relationships.
  • Provide product training, sales materials, account strategies, and ongoing support to ensure representatives are effectively positioned to sell Sena products.
  • Monitor representative performance and conduct regular sales reviews and follow-up meetings.
  • Address territory gaps, performance concerns, and representative transitions as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for independent sales representatives regarding pricing, samples, orders, account issues, and sales-related escalations.
  • Coordinate independent representative activities with direct and house accounts to maintain appropriate account ownership and minimize channel conflict.


Marketing & Product Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Marketing team to support product launches, promotional campaigns, product positioning, and retailer-facing initiatives.
  • Provide field feedback regarding customer needs, retailer expectations, competitive positioning, and market trends.
  • Support the development of sales presentations, sell sheets, trade show materials, product demonstrations, and other sales collateral.
  • Identify potential relationships with golf professionals, influencers, brand ambassadors, and other industry partners that may support brand awareness and market development.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on retail promotions, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and other sales-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Gather customer and retailer feedback and communicate market insights to Product and Marketing teams to support future product development.


Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, product launches, distribution strategies, and retail placement within the golf trolley and rangefinder categories.
  • Identify market trends, competitive gaps, and new business opportunities that may strengthen Sena Golf's position in the U.S. market.
  • Provide management with regular market and competitive intelligence based on customer interactions, industry events, and sales activity.
  • Recommend adjustments to sales strategy, pricing, channel development, and product positioning based on market conditions and business performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably within the golf industry, sporting goods, consumer electronics, hardware, or a related product category.
  • Demonstrated experience developing new business, opening new accounts, and growing sales within a new or developing market.
  • Experience building, recruiting, and managing independent sales representative networks across multiple U.S. territories strongly preferred.
  • Experience establishing sales territories, independent sales representative commission structures, quotas, and performance expectations.
  • Existing relationships within the U.S. golf industry, including golf courses, pro shops, specialty retailers, distributors, or major retail accounts, strongly preferred.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, commercial terms, promotional programs, and account agreements.
  • Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, distribution, and direct-to-consumer sales channels.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance, market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to support business decisions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to develop new business initiatives and build a new product category from an early stage.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States for customer meetings, account visits, trade shows, and other business needs.
