Inside Sales Manager

Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing a variety of general office activities for assigned groups.

Your role on the team:

  • Manages, coaches, and develops a transactional sales team, including inside and outside sales
  • Manages Sales Coordinator in processing orders of transactional sales
  • Assists in recruiting and developing future sales candidates
  • Creates quality reporting to show sales penetration by market segment and territory
  • Trains sales team to sell in a multi-modal environment
  • Oversees office P&L responsibilities
  • Oversees marketing plan including brand recognition and expansion, internet sales penetration, print material, coop marketing with manufactures, and sales plan execution
  • Oversees negotiation and management of sales agreements
  • Travels as needed
  • Other duties as required and assigned


What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years experience in Sales - multimodal transportation
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Sales Management
  • Valid drivers license
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to develop close customer relationships
