About the RoleWe're hiring a
Sales Manager and Technical Specialist - Masonry to drive sales growth, provide technical expertise, and lead a team within our architectural masonry business. This role blends leadership, customer engagement, and technical problem-solving, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic and hands-on environments.
What You'll Do- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed business goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with marketing to support promotions and product positioning
- Serve as the technical expert on masonry products for customers and internal teams
- Conduct presentations and training sessions for clients, architects, contractors, and team members
- Support the resolution of technical challenges on projects
- Partner with product development teams to provide market and customer insights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, contractors, and key clients
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development planning for team members
- Stay current on market trends, competitors, and industry developments
- Utilize industry platforms to identify project opportunities and drive product specifications
- Maintain regular in-person attendance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk
- Occasional lifting of office materials (10-20 pounds)
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as business needs require
What You Bring- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of technical knowledge in masonry products and applications
- Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and project tools
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience (10+ years)
- Technical certifications in masonry or related areas preferred
- 5+ years of experience in architectural masonry sales or technical support preferred
- Proven ability to lead a team and achieve sales targets preferred
