About the Role

As a Sales Engineer, you'll bring your technical expertise to life through compelling product demos, consultative discovery, and seamless integration guidance across construction ERPs. This role is ideal for a technically fluent seller who thrives at the intersection of complex software solutions and real-world business workflows.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and Sales Team to ensure Finvari's solutions are accurately represented and meaningfully mapped to each customer's business needs.

This role requires residency in Washington, Colorado, Tennessee or Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the sales team to deliver engaging product presentations and demos tailored to mid-market construction companies
  • Lead the discovery process to uncover critical business challenges and document customer requirements with precision
  • Consult with prospects on how Finvari solutions integrate with their existing construction ERP workflows and expense management processes
  • Develop and present complex, client-specific prototype demonstrations for larger prospects
  • Serve as the internal voice of technical and industry expertise, providing feedback to Product and Leadership based on customer interactions
  • Maintain accurate activity and deal support data in our CRM (HubSpot)
  • Represent Finvari with honesty, integrity, and professionalism at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events


Qualifications
  • Ability to work east coast hours (ET); west coast candidates must be comfortable with regular 6:00 AM start times
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, MIS, or a construction-related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, software implementation, or consulting role
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences and stakeholder levels
  • Proven ability to document product functionality requirements and desired workflow outcomes
  • Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot preferred)
  • Willingness to travel periodically for customer relationship-building

Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of construction industry workflows, including construction accounting and expense management processes
  • Hands-on experience with one or more construction ERP platforms such as Vista, Spectrum, CMiC, Sage 100/300 CRE, COINS, Acumatica, Foundation, or similar
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with autonomy and accountability

The compensation range for this position is USD $140,000 to $160,000.
