Amuneal is looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our team. Sales Engineers work directly with our customers as their single point of contact, assisting them through the technical development of their shielding designs, price estimating, engineering support, and excellent customer service for the life cycle of their products.
Key Responsibilities:- Foster strong relationships with our internal engineering and fabrication teams to promote an open collaborative environment
- Cultivate lasting customer relationships by communicating effectively, anticipating needs, and ensuring timely follow-through
- Develop and grow customer accounts by identifying new business opportunities, generating repeat business, and expanding relationships with existing customers
- Follow up on quotations, provide technical guidance, and support customers through the decision-making process.
- Partner with customers to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate shielding solutions.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly language.
- Develop detailed cost estimates
- Conduct feasibility assessments of RFQs and analyze factors affecting the cost and manufacturability of the product, including engineering drawings, raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, capital costs and risk
- Ability to develop effective shielding strategies and accurate cost estimates based on each customer's unique technical requirements
- Update ERP with validated costing inputs as required
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of products
- Promote Amuneal's technical expertise and custom solutions during customer visits and industry trade show
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Physics, or another highly technical field
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and understand fabrication specifications
- Technical knowledge of magnetic shielding and material science preferred; demonstrated ability to quickly learn, retain, and apply technical information required
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Proven sales or customer service experience, ideally in a technical or engineering-related field
- Previous outside sales experience with manufactured equipment or five years' experience as a specifying engineer is preferred
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems
- Ability to identify the best possible manufacturing processes
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using 3D CAD modeling software, Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, growth objectives, and goals
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable automobile transportation, and current auto insurance
