Base + Comm

As a Sales Director you'll be leading a high performing team of Account Executives focused on growing our consultant group benefits business.

What you will do

  • Work closely with Account Executives on day to day concerns including handling escalated issues
  • Relationship management with business partners both internally and externally
  • Work collaboratively with regional service counterparts to ensure customer needs are exceeded
  • Achieve business objectives and execute quarterly regional business plans as rolled out by the Vice President, National Accounts Sales
  • Provide leadership and coaching to your sales team to drive performance and achieve business objectives
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with consultants and customers, to achieve annual sales, persistency, and other targets
  • Manage the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation
  • Work closely with consultants, customers, and client relationship staff to ensure customer satisfaction through our new business implementation process and ongoing account management.
  • Promote additional products and services with consultants, customers, and regional service counterpart(s) to enhance client retention
  • Maintain small caseload of large or complex clients, as necessary, to support their unique sales needs


What you will bring

  • 10+ years of sales experience in Group Insurance ideally in leadership
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Understand the business environment and consultants/customer needs to create competitive advantage
  • Create alignment on opportunities to drive sales results and ensure retention of clients
  • Work to ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet customer needs, and balance peaks and valleys in workload
  • Build partnerships to seek opportunity for cross selling with consultants and customers
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services by sharing ideas and concepts with the Vice President, National Sales, the Regional Service Leaders and head office
  • Foster an environment of innovation and is open to the perspectives and ideas of others
  • Highly effective sales skills and business knowledge are an intrinsic part of our culture and drive our success

The base salary for this position is between $111,400 - $161,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
