Position Overview   

 

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Sales Consultant Pennsylvania to own and grow relationships within an assigned portfolio of existing customers. This role is responsible for retention, renewals, adoption, and expansion. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your book of business, building account plans, aligning to customer goals and success metrics, and recommending solutions that improve efficiency and outcomes. Success in this role requires a proactive, consultative approach and strong prospecting skills to identify and pursue growth opportunities within assigned accounts by expanding relationships, uncovering needs, and driving outcomes. This is a full-time, base plus commission role with an uncapped compensation structure, requiring frequent travel within an assigned geographic territory to support customer meetings, reviews, and key events. 

  

What You'll Do 

  • Represent Applied Systems in customer meetings, business reviews, and select industry events to strengthen relationships and drive adoption 
  • Own customer communication cadence, ensuring timely follow-up on requests, action items, and opportunities across your assigned accounts 
  • Develop and execute account plans that support renewals, retention, and growth; maintain an active pipeline of expansion opportunities across your assigned book of business 
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and maintain accurate renewal forecasting by tracking account health, risks, milestones, and next steps in partnership with internal teams 
  • Proactively prospect within existing accounts (e.g., whitespace mapping, stakeholder expansion, discovery conversations) to identify, qualify, and close up-sell/cross-sell opportunities aligned to customer needs and usage trends 

We’re Excited to Learn More About You   

  • 5+ years of successful B2B account management, customer success, or consultative sales experience required; must have demonstrated ability to prospect and drive expansion within an existing customer portfolio; SaaS experience and/or technology solution experience preferred 
  • Experience managing renewals, retention, and expansion motions (including negotiation and forecasting) preferred 
  • Customer-first, highly organized, and able to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and stakeholders with strong follow-through 
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required 
  • Salesforce, or CRM experience is preferred  
  • Ability to work 100% remotely, home office and reside in one of the following markets: Central & Eastern PA / Western NY
  • Travel up to 50% within assigned territory 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing, or equivalent work experience

Our targeted starting total cash compensation in the United States for this position ranges exceeds USD $200,000 per year. This range includes base salary and on-target performance-based variable commissions. Actual earnings are uncapped, and many team members exceed on-target amounts by surpassing their sales goals. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.
