Position SummaryDesigns, develops, implements, and oversees health and safety programs including program marketing and immersion of programs at PG&E to change or improve employee health, safety, and wellness. Manages the planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting effectiveness of health programs.
Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-functional teams and communicates about programs. Works with Safety & Health leaders to strategize and execute program initiatives in accordance with safety & health strategy. Supports execution by providing tools to leadership and health champions.
Disclosure:PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.
The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay Range: - Minimum: $116,00
- Midpoint: $150,00
- Maximum: $184,00
Job Responsibilities- Support drivers and leaders regarding questions and insights into what data and reports indicate.
- Develops, implements contractor safety program, systems, policies and procedures required to ensure regulatory compliance and the overall safety and health of PGE contractors.
- Develops, implements, monitors and maintains programs, systems, policies and procedures required to ensure regulatory compliance and the overall safety and health of employees and the community.
- Creates safety standards, procedures and guidance that meet regulatory compliance and represent best practices.
- Recognizes, evaluates, recommends and implements PG&E Safety policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with Safety requirements.
- Delivers presentations to senior leadership as well as communicating program philosophy, information, and operational policies and procedures.
- Ensures that quality control procedures are established to monitor all aspects of regulatory compliance.
- Develops and provides Safety training to Company employees, as needed.
- Develops and implements programs including leading coordination and facilitation of program review sessions with leaders and/or functional groups to review costs, schedule and program effectiveness.
- Promotes programs to enhance and encourage employee awareness of safety, accident/incidents and regulatory compliance
QualificationsMinimum:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Seven (7) years of safety and program development/management experience in a construction, utility, or industrial environment, or master's degree in safety specific
- Five (5) years of safety and program development experience in a construction, utility, or other industrial environment
- May Travel over 50% of the time
Desired:
- Experience writing standards and procedures
- Utility industry experience and familiarity with the types of vehicles operated
- Safety professional certification, for example, CIH, CSP, CHMM
- Highly effective communication skills
- Ability to organize clear and concise presentation points and deliver these in an informative, engaging, and articulate manner
- Ability to solve problems, taking into account the strategic and operational perspective
- Demonstrated strong customer focus, project achievement/management and cross-functional collaboration/ teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, results orientated environment
- Ability to think and work independently using a wide range of resources
- Knowledge of incident investigation analysis and corrective action plan development/management
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point skills
