Full Job Description
This is a position that requires the ability to work effectively and efficiently supporting multiple vendor applications on a variety of applications for multiple researchers and academic groups. The individual in this role must be able to support existing and new applications and ensure that compliance and governance requirements for restricted/private information are met. This position requires the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with a close attention to detail and minimal oversight.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of vendor software solutions based on technical and business needs.
  • Develop and document best practices for systems configuration and administration.
  • Assess operational risks and propose technical solutions that will meet service management expectations and capabilities.
  • Maintain systems that adhere to audit compliance, in addition to maintaining HIPAA, FERPA, and PCI compliance as required.
  • Generate and manage an inventory of SaaS solutions with up-to-date technical and compliance documentation.
  • Perform on-call duties on a rotational basis to support the operation of mission critical job processes.
  • Craft communications to various levels of stakeholders to share news of planned and unplanned events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with business end-users.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience integrating vended applications into an enterprise environment.
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and contributing to integration strategy.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks and audit processes.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Cloud+, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.


About the Department

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is the University's central IT unit and provides enterprise-level technologies and services that are broadly consumed, core to central administrative business operations, and tend to offer substantial economies of scale. We are part of a larger ecosystem of IT professionals who work in academic and support units systemwide. Local or collegiate IT units often offer discipline-specific, niche, and complementary services to the OIT central services.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% A ppointment
