About the PositionThis Workforce Solutions (WFS) Tribal Account Manager I (TAM I) builds and supports meaningful relationships with Tribal schools and districts, Tribal education departments, national education associations, and other organizations serving K-12 students and communities, primarily on or near Tribal lands. We are seeking a relationship-focused professional with significant experience in Tribal K-12 education who can manage considerable travel and understands the unique dynamics, opportunities, and challenges of educating and supporting students in Tribal communities. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with education leaders, Tribal government representatives, school and district administrators, and other key stakeholders, and brings an appreciation for culture, community, sovereignty, and respectful relationship-building.
The TAM I collaborates with Account Executives and Specialists to support accounts following execution of a Tribal Strategic Alliance Agreement (TSAA) addendum and to provide a consistent, high-quality client experience. This role develops and nurtures relationships with Tribal education offices, Tribal governments, schools, districts, and national associations; identifies needs and potential gaps; and helps develop personalized strategies that support organizational, workforce, and community success. The TAM I also represents University of Phoenix within Tribal, K-12, and higher education communities, helping increase awareness of educational programs, resources, and workforce development opportunities while serving as a trusted point of contact for Tribal stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:1. Collaborate with UOPX senior department leadership, Tribal Account Managers, and Account Executives to launch newly executed TSAA's while building and fostering deep and meaningful relationships with various Tribal entities; triage and resolve incoming requests from clients. Drive client satisfaction through the development and execution of effective account plans and strategies defined by the client's needs, including outlining engagement, marketing, promotional, and event strategies.
1. Develop and deliver presentations to Tribal entity stakeholders and influencers as necessary. Maintain a detailed understanding of markets, segments, and segment organizations with a focus on identifying potential Tribal entities that align with the University's strategic objectives.
2. Provide leadership with report progress; update account plans in the appropriate tracking platform (i.e.: SRM), including preparation of materials for internal and external account reviews to achieve strategic success.
3. Stay apprised of current events within applicable markets and maintain current knowledge of all the certificates, professional development, and degree programs; ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., no solicitation and limitations on university program participation); ensure all members of account team are aware of applicable regulations and that they maintain compliance at all times.
4. Execute engagement strategies within the Tribal entity's entire business geographic footprint and develop strategic solutions to address those needs; define the communications cadence and format that best serves the entity's needs and develop a foundation for long-term account growth and success. Serve as a resource for Tribal Engagement Specialists to uncover opportunities for direct member and employee engagement.
5. Be available as necessary to attend approved internal and external Tribal and UOPx events that occur outside of standard business hours, including weeknights and weekends, and which may require out-of-local or out-of-state travel. Collaborate with leadership and corporate clients to organize and prepare for approved client events, including scheduling and providing guidance to other Tribal Operations Team members to ensure fulfillment of mutually agreed upon strategy.
6. Collaborate with internal Tribal stakeholders to provide high-quality client relationship management; work in partnership with university internal departments to provide product insight and determine opportunities for client-focused strategic offerings.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree
• Three (3) years of related business development and/or sales experience working with Tribal education offices, governments, enterprises, schools, colleges, or healthcare facilities
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business, Management, Marketing)
• One (1) year of experience in the higher ed market or Tribal industry, particularly as it relates to adult learners
• Demonstrated knowledge of Tribal culture and known educational learning barriers, and successful engagement experience with Tribal leadership, membership, employers, and employees
• Customer service oriented and experience achieving high levels of employer/Tribal entity strategic engagement
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to effectively manage and perform work remotely from a home-based office with limited local supervision and maintain consistent accountability for expected outcomes
• Exceptional skills presenting to large audiences
• Proven results in business development, specifically gap mitigation methodology; strong business acumen and the ability to recognize marketing and business development opportunities
• Able to quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and excellent implementation of tasks/projects; strong commitment to quality and accuracy
• Able to multi-task and meet daily/weekly deadlines

Pay RangeThe annual pay range for this position is $76,400 (minimum), $115,400 (midpoint), and $154,400 (maximum).*
*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget. Compensation above the midpoint is generally associated with experienced, long-tenured employees who have demonstrated sustained performance and expertise in the role.
