Job Description

This position is available in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the laboratory of Dr. Yan Li.

The Research Data Analyst will work as part of a large team of clinical and research collaborators, utilizing MRI and MRS to study patients with glioma and other neurological and psychiatric diseases.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of research imaging data.
  • Apply mathematical, statistical, and machine learning methods to research datasets.
  • Prepare figures and tables summarizing results in support of research proposals, protocols, and reports.
  • Contribute to scientific manuscripts, publications, and presentations.
  • Maintain and develop research data collection, retrieval, and reporting systems.


Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of research imaging data.
  • Conduct both hypothesis-driven and data-driven analyses of research data.
  • Apply mathematical, statistical, and machine learning methods to research datasets.
  • Prepare figures and tables summarizing results in support of research proposals, protocols, and reports.
  • Contribute to scientific manuscripts, publications, and presentations.
  • Maintain and develop research data collection, retrieval, and reporting systems.
  • Assist in developing systems for organizing data to analyze, identify, and report trends.
  • Collaborate on the design, documentation, testing, and implementation of research studies.
  • Conduct statistical analyses in support of research proposals and protocols.
  • Independently plan limited studies or assist senior Research Data Analysts with large, complex studies.

Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrate initiative, maintain flexibility, and adapt to changing priorities.
