Job Title: Credit Analyst - Investment Grade
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Credit Analyst
to join a pod/trading team within our multi-manager, multi-strategy hedge fund platform. The analyst will be responsible for generating long and short trade ideas across Investment Grade credit, supporting primary research, and collaborating closely with the Portfolio Manager and traders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present differentiated long/short investment ideas in the Investment Grade credit universe, with a focus on credit selection and risk/reward assessment
- Conduct in-depth fundamental and market research on assigned companies, industries, and sectors
- Build and maintain financial models, analyze capital structures, and evaluate bond covenants and legal documentation
- Monitor key market trends, earnings, and credit-relevant events affecting portfolio positions
- Actively debate investment theses and market views with other team members
- Support trading and risk management decisions through timely analysis and clear communication
- Assist in portfolio monitoring and performance review as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years of direct credit research or trading experience at a structured hedge fund, multi-manager platform, or investment bank
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, value, and generate actionable ideas in Investment Grade credit
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in financial modeling and credit analysis
- Self-starter capable of working in a dynamic, team-based trading environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate complex trade ideas concisely
- Bachelor's degree required; progress toward or completion of CFA/MBA is a plus
