How you will make an impact:- Develop applications that enhance the capabilities of DCOM/PON systems and platforms.
- Design and implement embedded, real-time software solutions for telecommunications systems.
- Write and test software code to ensure functionality.
- Participate in testing activities during release cycles for delivered features.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop on-switch applications and OAM software features supporting Optical/Ethernet-based initiatives.
The must haves:- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Previous internship, co-op, or applied project experience relevant to the role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to contribute effectively to a team environment.
- Proficiency in embedded C programming.
- Proficiency in Python development.
Nice to haves:- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Go, or BASH.
- Familiarity with datacom and telecom concepts including Ethernet, TCP/IP, MPLS, DWDM.
- Knowledge of real-time software/firmware development and Linux-based development environments.
- Exposure to CLI, SNMP, NETCONF, REST, gRPC protocols.
- Hands-on experience with design and development tools such as Git, Eclipse, JIRA, Confluence, GDB, Yocto.
- Familiarity with YANG modeling language and toolchains.
- Interest in automation and testing practices.
Pay Range:- The annual pay range for this position is $71,900 - $114,900
