As a Robotics Engineer, AI Applications & Engineering Productivity, you will help advance the CORI robotic surgery platform by developing AI powered capabilities that improve patient outcomes while enabling engineering teams to work more effectively. **This position does not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future**What will you be doing?- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI powered features for the CORI robotic surgery platform.
- Apply machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, and data driven techniques to enhance product functionality and user experience.
- Develop software services, APIs, and workflows that integrate AI capabilities into existing products and engineering applications.
- Support the prototyping, evaluation, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.
- Implement and support AI assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitLab Duo, Copilot, and related technologies to improve engineering efficiency.
- Build automation and tooling that improve code quality, testing, documentation, traceability, and software development workflows.
- Collaborate on software architecture, system integration, code reviews, and CI/CD initiatives across robotic software and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure AI enabled solutions align with cybersecurity, privacy, quality, and regulatory requirements.
What will you need to be successful?- Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ with experience developing production quality software applications.
- Hands on experience with Generative AI, machine learning, large language models, AI agents, or related technologies.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, Agile methodologies, and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Azure OpenAI, cloud AI platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, robotics, healthcare technologies, or regulated software environments.
