Join AECOM's Transportation team in Atlanta and play a key role in delivering roadway projects that make a real difference across Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roadway engineer who's ready to take on greater leadership, ownership, and visibility while staying connected to hands-on technical work. As a Roadway Design Project Manager, you'll guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through delivery on projects that improve safety, mobility, and long-term sustainability. This position offers a hybrid work option.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
• Managing projects that involve a combination of the following: quantities/cost estimation, roadway geometrics, staging, drainage, modeling, signing and marking, right-of-way, and erosion and sedimentation control.
• Providing technical oversight, support, and training to engineers
• Following internal quality control processes
• People management, such as mentoring and supervising lead engineers and junior engineers to support their technical growth and career development
• Fostering technical excellence across the business line by sharing expertise, promoting best practices, and supporting continuous learning
Qualifications
Minimum:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline and 4 years of related roadway project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Georgia PE License
Preferred:
• 10 years of experience designing & managing roadway projects
• Experience designing & managing Georgia roadway projects
• Experience and training with GDOT Plan Development Process
