RN Program Coordinator - Trauma Performance ImprovementFull TimeSumma Health System Akron Campus Summary:Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the trauma performance improvement, quality and patient safety program and peer review. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical team members, monitoring, evaluating, and improving identified processes, outcomes and systems issues related to the quality of care provided to all injured patients. Assists with data aggregation and reporting and the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives for the Trauma Program and the hospital.
Formal Education Required: - Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Master's degree in nursing or a healthcare related field preferred
- Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
- Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio
Experience & Training Required: - Five (5) years' experience in trauma related field (emergency room, critical care, surgery) to include performance improvement experience.
- Two (2) years documented teaching experience via professional presentations to various groups of learners preferred.
- ACLS certification
- TNCC certification, Instructor preferred.
- TCRN certification preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications- Ability to complete TOPIC course within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary personnel, Medical Staff, and community representatives.
- Ability to use computer and audiovisual equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, One Note, PowerPoint etc.)
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Level of Physical Demands:- Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.
$30.91/hr - $46.36/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
