Overview:Job SummaryWe are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Labor & Delivery. The position involves caring for mothers and babies in a low-level trauma, acute-care hospital environment.
The ideal candidate should have Labor & Delivery experience, fetal monitoring skills, and the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart-rate patterns.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Perform and interpret fetal monitoring.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal fetal heart-rate patterns.
- Use external fetal monitoring equipment.
- Assist with Labor & Delivery procedures.
- Provide care for high-risk patients.
- Float to the Mother/Baby unit when required.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital policies.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- Charge experience preferred.
- Labor & Delivery experience.
- Ability to work with high-risk patients.
- Experience with fetal monitoring.
- Experience recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart-rate patterns.
- Travel experience is not required.
- California RN license required.
- Two supervisor references obtained within the last 18 months are required for submission.
