Full Job Description
Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: 8 or 10-hour day shift

The Prep/PACU nurse will be responsible for coordinating care for a group of patients for a designated time period to achieve clinical and organizational outcomes. Provides direct patient care based on the nursing process; provides direction to/manages other team members to promote quality and excellence of care. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize team performance.
Promotes improvement in unit processes and systems to benefit patient care and achieve unit goals. May act in the absence of the Nurse Clinician (NC) III to oversee daily care for a group of patients, as assigned. Candidates must be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland. Knowledge of nursing process. Social, behavioral and physical knowledge of current health care environment. Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality patient care. Ability to work in a fast paced university teaching hospital.

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
