Full Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of analysis, accounting, or analytics related experience in an insurance or financial services environment.
  • Experience with risk management, insurance, and captive insurance companies.
  • Experience working with insurance financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) accounting standards.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MS/MBA).
  • Designations (Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Agentic processes and AI-related skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality presentation materials in tight time frames.
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and team-work skills, including working with various internal stakeholders.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. In this role, you will serve as a critical, foundational pillar within Google's risk management function. The primary responsibilities will include providing strategic support for internal insurance operations, claims, and payments, in addition to delivering sophisticated financial analysis, accounting coordination, and contractual support. You will directly inform strategic business decisions across all Alphabet entities, requiring a unique combination of insurance and financial expertise, advanced risk management techniques, and a comprehensive, macro-level perspective. You will have exposure to an extensive array of teams and associated risk profiles, operating at a scale and within a position that is truly unique in the industry.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $116000 - $166000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits
