Summary:
In this role, you will contribute as a key technical resource across the product lifecycle, supporting both new development initiatives and improvements to existing RF systems. The position emphasizes hands-on design, testing, and optimization of high-frequency components and assemblies.
Core focus areas include RF circuitry, power amplification systems, waveguide technologies, filtering solutions, and system-level validation.
What You'll Do:
- Contribute to the development and production of BUCs (block upconverters) and SSPAs (solid-state power amplifiers)
- Adapt and enhance existing RF circuit designs to meet evolving requirements
- Support the design and layout of RF power amplifiers, including manufacturing considerations
- Translate product requirements into functional concepts and working prototypes
- Collaborate on full-cycle product development activities
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure accurate implementation of designs
- Diagnose and resolve technical and design-related issues
- Partner with production teams to address and eliminate manufacturing challenges
- Prepare and deliver technical input for proposals and design validation
- Verify that solutions meet performance and specification requirements
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5-8 years of experience in RF design and development
- Strong background in RF components, including power amplifiers and synthesizers
- Solid understanding of electromagnetic (EM) theory
- Experience working with high-frequency circuits (>10 GHz)
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools
- Hands-on experience with circuit building, integration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with RF testing and validation methods
- Familiarity with waveguide design, as well as analog and digital circuits
- Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Knowledge of RF assembly processes and production considerations
- Experience with tools such as: ADS, EMPro, HFSS, Altium, Waspnet
- Exposure to Agile practices and SolidWorks is considered an asset
