RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Description:  Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Missile Defense Integration (MDI) Business Unit has an exciting career opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama for a Technical Review & Execution Support Coordinator (Software Engineer [SWE] – Level 2 or 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals, supporting the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon Systems (GWS) program. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Position Overview:  The selected candidate will participate in every phase of planning, coordination, tracking, and execution of milestone reviews and key events as a member of the GWS Execution Team’s Technical Review and Execution Support group. In this role, the candidate will help bridge programmatic direction and commitments with technical scope and performance across multiple products.  The role involves working closely with Execution team’s Build Leads & SMEs, reviewing artifacts and providing clear, practical analysis that helps ensure the program’s software products are delivered successfully. The selected candidate participates actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and reviews, and may engage in design discussions and requirements activities based on project demands. To succeed, the candidate will also be expected to: - Apply sound analytical and technical skills - Demonstrate excellent organizational abilities; managing multiple artifacts, tasks, and deadlines efficiently - Exhibit effective cross‑collaboration amongst highly motivated engineers. Basic Qualifications:  - For Level 2: Bachelor’s of Science Degree from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 years of related experience. - For Level 3: Bachelor’s of Science Degree from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of related experience with a PhD.  - Experience with components of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, or deployment. - Experience with requirement decomposition, design translation and technical analysis. - Familiarity with Agile software development using tools like Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, and Bitbucket. - Applicants must possess strong communication and organizational skills.  - Applicants must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.  - Capable of effectively contributing both independently and within a high-performing team environment.  - Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.  - Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs. - Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment full-time. Preferred Qualifications:  - Experience planning, coordinating, and executing milestone and key event reviews; Technical Review Plans (TRPs) development and implementation support. - Experience in Agile/Scrum leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner. - Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS. - Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus. - GMD domain knowledge. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
