The Retirement Plan Consultant will assist in managing the strategic planning, consulting, guidance, marketing, investment analysis and servicing of the assigned book of retirement business. This role will help to build the retirement consultant book of business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key retirement plan sponsors with a focus on client satisfaction and retention
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of our business, products, and services.
- Consistently deliver a high level of prompt and proactive client service in a professional manner.
- Broad background in retirement products and general investment matters.
- Must be able to deliver a distinctive and thoughtful experience that is aimed at providing appropriate advice for the client's situation that secures confidence and business
- Ability to effectively produce and deliver plan review meetings (in-person or virtual)
- Ability to effectively deliver participant education and wellness seminars (in-person or virtual)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and face-to-face relationship building abilities
- Achieve individual and team goals for service levels, growth, and retention for assigned book of business.
- Ability to lead a team and achieve goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ensure conformance with entire company guidelines and regulatory policies
- Maintain and update CRM on existing customers on a real time basis
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills are essential.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- License: This position requires a Series 65 and state insurance license. If not currently in possession, required within 90 days of employment
- Education: Bachelors degree required
- Experience (years and type of experience): 3-5 years demonstrated advisory, client management and plan management experience preferred
- Certifications/Designations: CPFA, AIF, QKA, CFP, and/or CFA preferred
TECHNICAL, COMPUTER, AND SYSTEM-SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Microsoft Teams
- RPAG
- Redtail
- SalesForce
- Ability to learn any other appropriate program or software system used by the firm as necessary
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to remain flexible yet focused during stressful situations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to express complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Highly organized and able to quickly prioritize multiple assignments with high quality results.
WORKSITE EXPECTATIONS:
- Hybrid in Irvine, California
- Regional travel up to 10% of the time may be required
