ROLE SYNOPSIS

Join bp's Customer & Products Procurement team and help shape the future of mobility and convenience. In this role, you will lead a team that delivers measurable value, resilient supply, and fit-for-purpose standards across our retail fuel and convenience network.

As the People Leader for Retail Assets Procurement, you will set and complete category strategies that support bp, Amoco, Thorntons, TravelCenters of America, ampm and bp pulse sites-covering retail construction and maintenance, fuel systems, and critical store and forecourt equipment.

You will partner closely with Construction & Facilities, Operations, HSSE, Engineering and Finance to translate business priorities into executable sourcing, contracting and supplier performance plans, balancing speed, safety, quality and total cost. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on commercial delivery: market intelligence, cost modelling and benchmarking, sophisticated negotiations, and disciplined contract and supplier management to unlock value at scale.

The Retail Assets Procurement Advisor leads the creation and implementation of category management strategies across bp's Customer & Products brands, including bp, Amoco, Thorntons, TravelCenters of America, ampm and bp pulse EV charging sites.

In this role, the Procurement Advisor will provide leadership while working with a cross-functional team of business partners to unlock and enable value as we construct, maintain and execute retail fuel, charging and convenience store offers for our customers across fuel sites, convenience stores and charging stations. Excellence in lifecycle delivery across retail maintenance and construction, food service equipment and all related retail equipment is critical to meeting the complex and interconnected needs of our retail businesses.

The Procurement Advisor will work with regional and global teams to define category strategies by performing analysis and coordinating key inputs, including supply market analysis, cost modelling and benchmarking. The Procurement Advisor will also lead sophisticated local and global contract negotiations and executions while using procurement analytics to unlock the best value for our businesses.

About BP

BP p.l.c. is a British multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, England. It is one of the oil and gas "supermajors" and one of the world's largest companies measured by revenues and profits. It is a vertically integrated company operating in all areas of the oil and gas industry, including exploration and extraction, refining, distribution and marketing, power generation, and trading. BP's origins date back to the founding of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company in 1908, established as a subsidiary of Burmah Oil Company to exploit oil discoveries in Iran. In 1935, it became the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and in 1954, adopted the name British Petroleum. In 1959, the company expanded beyond the Middle East to Alaska. British Petroleum acquired majority control of Standard Oil of Ohio in 1978. Formerly majority state-owned, the British government privatised the company in stages between 1979 and 1987. British Petroleum merged with Amoco in 1998, becoming BP Amoco plc, and acquired ARCO and Burmah Castrol in 2000 and Aral AG in 2002. The company's name was shortened to BP p.l.c. in 2001. From 2003 to 2013, BP was a partner in the TNK-BP joint venture in Russia, and from 2013 until Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine, held a nearly 20% stake in Rosneft.
