Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different

This role provides flexible scheduling options (4/10s or 3/12s), strong operational support, and the opportunity to serve a diverse Boston Metro patient population. The team is highly experienced, with leadership bringing over 20 years of home-care expertise.

Key highlights
  • Work Arrangement: On-site with flexible scheduling (4/10s or 3/12s).
  • Hours: Standard 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; flexible based on candidate needs.
  • Travel: Boston Metro area; variable traffic; flexible start/end times and ability to leave from home.


Salary range
  • $45 - $55 per hour


On-Call transparency
  • Rotation every 3rd week with minimal call volume.


What you'll do
  • Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups
  • Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
  • Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
  • Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
  • Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
  • Performs other duties as required


What we look for
  • Respiratory Therapist with an active MA RT license
  • Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 - 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation


Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program


Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations
  • Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
  • Hold a current CPR Certification
  • Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
