Why is this Respiratory Clinician role different

This role offers high autonomy with 80% field work across NYC, flexible scheduling, and strong support for hands-on patient care and education. Ideal for someone who enjoys independence, fast-paced environments, and meaningful patient interaction.

Key highlights
  • Work Arrangement: On-site; 20% office, 80% road.
  • Hours: 10 AM - 6:30 PM; flexible.
  • Work Schedule: Open to Full Time (M-F) and Part Time (2-3 per week).
  • Driving Distance: Covers roughly 80% of NYC.


Salary range
  • $47 - $57 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.


On-Call transparency
  • Once-a-month rotation; minimal in-person visits but paid overtime if required.


What you'll do
  • Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups
  • Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
  • Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
  • Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
  • Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
  • Performs other duties as required


What we look for
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active NY RT license or LPN with Respiratory experience.
  • Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 - 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation


Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or LPN with Respiratory experience.


Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations
  • Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
  • Hold a current CPR Certification
  • Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
