Respiratory Therapist

Baystate Medical Center | Springfield
Full-Time | Day Shift (7am-7:30pm)

Sign on bonus eligible



As a Respiratory Therapist at Baystate, you’ll evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under physician direction while serving as a key member of the care team. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing airways and ventilators across varying levels of acuity
  • Performing diagnostic testing and interpreting results
  • Administering respiratory therapies and pulmonary care modalities
  • Participating in emergency response and critical care interventions
  • Educating patients and families on treatment plans and disease management
  • Supporting discharge planning and chronic disease management initiatives

What You Bring
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program (Associate’s degree required)
  • Massachusetts Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) eligible or licensed

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
