Reporting to the Residual Value Risk National Manager, the person in this role will lead strategic and highly complex risk programs that drive substantive business change impacting TFS, Toyota, our dealers and ultimately our customers.
Who we're looking for: The Toyota Financial Services Risk Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Residual Value Strategy & Analytics Manager.
Reporting to the Residual Value Risk National Manager, the person in this role will lead strategic and highly complex risk programs that drive substantive business change impacting TFS, Toyota, our dealers and ultimately our customers. This role is responsible for leading an array of strategic and deep-dive analytics projects for the RV Risk Area, as well managing the Resale Value Leadership Council (RVLC).
What you'll be doing Strategic Projects
- Strategic Projects responsibilities include the management of various large-scale strategic projects as assigned by Risk leadership. These projects typically span multiple months and drive significant revenue or cost savings for the enterprise. These projects require partnerships with multiple areas, including but not limited to: Finance/FP&A, Pricing and Product Planning, Data Science, Data Engineering, Sales and Marketing.
Resale Value Leadership Council (RVLC)
- Responsibilities include management of a large audience of stakeholders across the working and executive levels (TFS & TMNA), identifying market and business opportunities through analytics and stakeholder engagement, and leading those projects from ideation through to final implementation.
- Strategy: Identify new projects, gain support and commitment from necessary stakeholders and team members, and socialize timelines
- Analytics: Support learning by generating hypotheses, designing and executing a test, measuring the impact and applying insights to future programs; develop and maintain project modeling and ROI tools
- Operations: Schedule, lead and own monthly group meetings, prepare, track and manage KPI reporting, manage available budget
Analytics, Modeling & Simulation
- Analytics, Modeling & Simulation responsibilities include supporting various stakeholders in RV Risk, the broader Risk Department and TFS/TMNA with ad-hoc heavy-lift analytics and modeling capabilities by properly leveraging and deploying the analytical resources reporting to this position.
Managing team budget, resources/prioritization, target/goal achievement, and recruiting/retaining/developing department team members.
What you bring - 5+ years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or similar analytical / STEM field
- Demonstrated experience with both coding and analysis tools (SQL, R, Tableau, Python and/or similar) and a high level of proficiency with both Excel and PowerPoint (testing of coding and analytic abilities will be conducted as part of the application process)
- Working knowledge of statistics and modeling techniques with experience identifying trends and indicators through quantitative/qualitative analysis
- Project management and presentation skills including proposing strategic recommendations to management and clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Added bonus if you have - MBA or Master's degree in an analytical field
- 7+ years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
- Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure, modeling and/or analytics projects
- Experience leading technical individuals (either direct reports or via virtual/cross-functional teams)
