  • Prepare and review project correspondence and records
  • Monitor project schedule, costs, and quality
  • Serve as a technical resource and problem solver in both field and office.

Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Resident Engineer to join our team on a NYCDDC project in the Bronx.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall construction administration of contract
  • Lead and conduct progress meetings and safety meetings
  • Manage direct reports including Inspectors and Office Engineer
  • Ensure contractor's work meets compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards
  • Reviewing contractor performance and compliance with safety requirements
  • Preparing/reviewing correspondence, maintenance of project records, preparing change order documents, preparing progress reports
  • Monitor schedule, cost, and quality
  • Serve as a technical resource and problem solver in the field and office
  • Assisting Office Engineer as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualification & Skills:
  • 15+ years of REI/CI experience on infrastructure projects
  • 5+ years of experience working on NYCDDC projects preferred
  • New York State Professional Engineer License Required
  • Bachelor's in Engineering Required
  • OSHA 30
  • Experience working with public agencies required
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, work respectfully with multidiscipline teams and maintain composure under deadlines.
Expected salary range is $176,800 - $197,600 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual's qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
