Job Description
is seeking a Full-Time Resident Engineer in the Greater Hartford Area, Connecticut, to oversee complex infrastructure projects from the field and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with transportation infrastructure construction projects, including highway, bridge, rail, and facilities construction
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate correspondence, reports and recommendations related to construction activities and project issues.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with clients, contractors, agency representatives, and project stakeholders.
- Experience managing construction related issues and supervising inspection staff to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications- Strong capability to establish and maintain positive client relationships while supporting overall project performance, quality and schedule adherence.
- Thorough understanding of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) standards, practices, and procedures.
EducationRequired Experience- 10+ years of general construction or transportation infrastructure
- 4+ years of field inspection experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Required CredentialsApplicants must hold at least one of the following
- NETTCP HMA, Concrete, soils certification
- OSHA 10-hr Safety Training (minimum)
- Appropriate Trade License for Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP)
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $68.0-$95.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job related factors including but not limited to experience, certifications, education, geographic location, shift requirements, internal equity and business need, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
