Job Description Summary:This senior-level position performs post-award research administration within the Public Health and Law Research Support Team (PH&L RST). The RST is structured to provide a supportive environment for individuals seeking to obtain mastery in research administration, and presents opportunities for growth and professional development. Positions within the RST are currently utilizing a full remote schedule. Research Program Managers, SPH (RPMs) are also expected to choose two specific areas to become subject matter experts for the benefit of the RST (eg., NIH grants, Foundation regulations, subrecipients, labor and effort, training).
The duties of the Post-award Research Program Manager, SPH (RPM) encompass working closely with a group of faculty and overseeing their portfolios. As an RPM, the size and complexity of the portfolio should reflect the highest level of sophistication in finance management and compliance. This includes the technical expertise to design spreadsheets and budgets for tracking expenditures. Meetings to strategize and reconcile award funds are expected to occur on a regular cadence, and the RPM conducts outreach to other GW stakeholders to assist in maintaining standard operational efficiencies.
Post-Award Responsibilities Include:- Initiation and review of requisitions for purchase orders
- Oversight of subrecipients
- Reviewing payroll distributions
- Reviewing payment of service agreements and invoices
- Reviewing P-Card expenditure reports
- Monitoring award spending in compliance with GW and sponsor's terms and conditions
Performs other related duties as assigned, such as participation in RST and University research-related meetings/committees. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning tasks that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Familiarity with Excel and tracking information is desired.
Hiring Range $74,041.08 - $101,731.95
