The Anxiety and Health Behaviors Lab is hiring a full-time Research Associate.

The position is designed for a licensed psychologist with experience in clinical research, evidence-based psychological treatment, clinical assessment, and supervision.

This is a one-year fixed term position

Purpose

The Research Associate will serve as a licensed psychologist within the lab's clinical research program, providing psychological services as part of clinical trials while contributing to the design and conduct of clinical research. The Research Associate will also train and supervise trainees and research staff in treatment delivery, clinical assessment, and research procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological services within clinical research protocols, including delivery of manualized evidence-based treatments, clinical and diagnostic assessments, clinical study visits, and collection and documentation of research data.
  • Train and supervise clinical psychology doctoral students and research staff in evidence-based treatment delivery, clinical assessment, participant management, and clinical research procedures.
  • Conceptualize, lead, and contribute to clinical research projects, including study development, implementation, data interpretation, dissemination, and preparation of scholarly products.
  • Present clinical and research work to academic, professional, and community audiences and contribute to dissemination and outreach activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Licensed to practice psychology in the State of Texas.
  • Completion of postdoctoral training or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Training and experience in evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment.
  • Experience conducting clinical research involving human participants.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision or training to students, trainees, or research.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering and supervising manualized, evidence-based psychological treatments in clinical trials.
  • Experience conducting diagnostic and clinical assessments in research settings.
  • Experience working with individuals with anxiety, mood, trauma-related, or related disorders.
  • Experience supervising clinical psychology doctoral students.
  • Record of scholarly contributions to clinical research.
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary academic research teams.
