Mid Cities Psychiatry (MCP) is seeking a licensed psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological assessment and clinical services in an outpatient behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and experience evaluating adolescents and/or adults. Candidates with formal training and experience in neuropsychological assessment are especially encouraged to apply.

This position may include psychological, cognitive, and neuropsychological evaluations based on the candidate's education, training, experience, and professional scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological, cognitive, and/or neuropsychological assessments within the scope of training and licensure.
• Administer, score, interpret, and integrate standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessment measures.
• Evaluate cognitive, intellectual, academic, attentional, executive functioning, memory, language, visuospatial, emotional, and behavioral domains as appropriate.
• Integrate assessment findings with relevant medical, psychiatric, developmental, and psychosocial history.
• Develop clear, comprehensive, and clinically useful psychological and assessment reports.
• Provide diagnostic impressions and clinically appropriate recommendations based on assessment findings.
• Communicate assessment results effectively to patients, families, referring providers, and other members of the treatment team.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, medical providers, and other behavioral health professionals regarding assessment findings and treatment planning.
• Identify situations requiring referral for more specialized neurological, medical, or comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while protecting patient confidentiality and test security.
• Practice in accordance with applicable professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field.
• Active, unrestricted Texas psychologist license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health, mental health, medical, rehabilitation, or outpatient clinical setting.
• Experience providing psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapy, or related clinical services.
• Strong knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Excellent clinical documentation, communication, and report-writing skills.

Neuropsychology Qualifications

For candidates providing neuropsychological evaluation services:

• Formal graduate, internship, postdoctoral, or other documented clinical training in neuropsychology, or equivalent documented experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of neuropsychological assessment principles, standardized test administration, scoring, interpretation, and integration.
• Experience assessing multiple cognitive and behavioral domains, including memory, attention, executive functioning, language, visuospatial skills, intellectual functioning, and emotional/behavioral functioning.
• Familiarity with standardized assessment instruments commonly used with adolescents and adults.
• Experience evaluating patients with neurological, medical, developmental, psychiatric, or acquired brain injury conditions.
• Ability to differentiate potential psychological, psychiatric, developmental, and medical contributors to cognitive or functional concerns.
• Ability to recognize when additional or specialized neurological, medical, or comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation is indicated.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an outpatient psychiatric, behavioral health, medical, rehabilitation, or hospital setting.
• Experience conducting psychological testing and comprehensive assessments.
• Experience conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.
• Experience working with adolescents and adults across a range of clinical presentations.
• Experience collaborating with psychiatrists, neurologists, physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and behavioral health providers.
• Experience with complex, medically involved, or treatment-resistant clinical conditions.
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary case consultation and treatment planning.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus but is not required.

Work Environment

This is an outpatient behavioral health position within a multidisciplinary clinical environment. The psychologist will work collaboratively with other behavioral health and medical professionals and will have the opportunity to contribute to comprehensive assessment and treatment planning.

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
