This role serves as a key resource for litigation-focused research, leveraging advanced legal databases and analytical skills to deliver actionable insights that support case strategy and client service. The position requires a proactive, client-focused professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across practice groups. The role follows a hybrid work model combining in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex litigation research, including case law, statutory, regulatory, legislative history, and factual investigations using a variety of legal research platforms.
  • Serve as a dedicated research resource for assigned litigation practice groups and provide timely, high-quality support to attorneys and related professionals.
  • Develop cost-effective research strategies and train attorneys and staff on legal research tools, databases, and best practices.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights that support legal strategy and client matters.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, assist with onboarding and orientation programs, and contribute to department-wide research initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of legal research experience in a large law firm, AmLaw environment, or comparable legal setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in litigation, case law, regulatory, and factual research, with proficiency in platforms such as Lexis+, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, Practical Law, PACER, and related resources.
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management, and client-service skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and managing competing deadlines effectively.
  • Master's degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS/MLS) and/or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred; knowledge of securities, tax, or corporate research is a plus.

Compensation: $120,000 - $135,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
