Senior Manager, Master Data Management

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Master Data Management to lead enterprise MDM operations, drive adoption of Informatica IDMC, and ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of critical business data. This hands-on leadership role combines team management, platform ownership, data governance execution, and process automation to support strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

MDM Platform Leadership
• Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Informatica IDMC, including MDM, Data Quality, and stewardship processes.
• Manage and enhance master data models, business rules, hierarchies, reference data, match/merge logic, and golden record management.
• Oversee platform releases, testing, deployment activities, and ongoing operational support.
• Partner with IT and integration teams to support data onboarding, integrations, and downstream data distribution.

Data Quality & Governance
• Drive data quality initiatives across product, supplier, customer, and location domains.
• Implement governance standards, policies, and stewardship practices in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Monitor data quality KPIs and develop reporting that measures accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
• Provide operational insights and recommendations to support governance and business decision-making.

Automation & Process Improvement
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using UiPath, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
• Reduce manual effort through workflow optimization and intelligent automation.
• Maintain a roadmap that aligns automation initiatives with business objectives and data maturity goals.

Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and data professionals.
• Manage priorities across operational support, enhancements, automations, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with business, IT, architecture, and integration teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Required
• 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, data operations, or enterprise data platforms.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC.
• Experience with RPA or workflow automation tools such as UiPath or Power Automate.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and enterprise data management principles.

Preferred
• Informatica and/or UiPath certifications.
• Experience with ERP environments, data integrations, and product or supplier data domains.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and SQL.
• Background in distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, supply chain, or similar industries.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
