Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Join the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine as a Research Administrator 2 and play a key role in advancing innovative research. In this position, you will provide comprehensive pre- and post-award administration for a diverse portfolio of intramurally and extramurally funded research projects. Working closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), you'll support the full research administration lifecycle-from proposal development and award setup to financial management, compliance, reporting, and project closeout. As part of a collaborative team, you'll partner with a Senior Research Administrator to deliver strategic, high-quality portfolio management while contributing to the department's research mission and continued success.

Hourly range: $35.23-$53.67

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of research administration experience.
  • 3+ years of financial, clerical, or administrative experience.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information and establish cooperative working relationships. Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Close attention to detail in a fast-paced, fluctuating workload environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel.

Preferred:

  • Strong organizational skills to effectively create and maintain administrative and financial files.
