Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Requirements Analyst to support a mission-critical modernization program delivering a modular, adaptable software suite of essential capabilities across multiple warfighting functions. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between operational end-users and technical development teams, translating complex mission needs into clear, actionable system requirements that drive meaningful capability delivery.

This position operates across cloud and tactical edge environments, supporting requirements development, validation, and management across the full software development lifecycle - from initial concept through fielding - in both garrison and deployed settings, including Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Low Bandwidth (DDIL) environments.

The work is to be performed at the customer site at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.

This role is contingent upon award news in Fall 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elicit, analyze, and document system and software requirements by engaging directly with operational end-users, stakeholders, and technical teams across multiple echelons and security domains
  • Translate operational needs and mission workflows into well-defined functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with agile development methodologies
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Government stakeholders, vendors, and development teams to ensure requirements are accurately captured, communicated, traceable, and verifiable throughout the program lifecycle
  • Evaluate and validate platform capabilities including data onboarding, interoperability, cross-platform data exchange, and UI/UX performance against established requirements and end-user needs
  • Support development and validation of tactical edge configurations, ensuring requirements account for operations in DDIL environments including 72-hour autonomous operations and network synchronization
  • Participate in product demonstrations, design reviews, and agile development cycles, providing rapid assessment of solution compliance against documented requirements
  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive requirements traceability matrix, ensuring all requirements are tracked from inception through testing, validation, and delivery

Qualifications

Required Clearance:
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • TS/SCI Preferred

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, National Security, or a related discipline
  • Or Master's Degree preferred in Systems Engineering, Program Management, or a related technical or analytical field

Required Experience:
  • Six (6+) years of progressive experience in requirements analysis, systems engineering, or a closely related field, with a minimum of Three (3 ) years supporting defense, military, or interagency programs at the operational or acquisition level
  • Demonstrated experience eliciting, decomposing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, with proven proficiency in requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms
  • Experience working within agile development frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban, with working knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines, API-driven interoperability standards, and common data layer concepts
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, data security frameworks, and the unique requirements of classified network environments
  • Experience with cloud-based and tactical edge platforms, including the ability to translate operational constraints in DDIL environments into technically sound requirements
  • Background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and familiarity with military symbology, targeting, collection management, and terrain analysis domains
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements workshops, brief senior military, civilian, and interagency audiences, and drive consensus across technical and operational stakeholders in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
