Location: Tulsa, OKWork Type: Onsite#LI-OnsiteAt a Glance:The Reporting Engineer, within Digital Operations, is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise reporting, analytics, and data products that support drilling performance, operational excellence, and strategic business initiatives. This role serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert in data modeling, business intelligence, drilling operations, and H&P rig technology.
The Reporting Engineer, partners closely with internal stakeholders including Drilling Performance, Performance Engineers, Product Management, Sales, Outcome Partners, Operations, and executive leadership to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, usability, and business value across Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related analytics platforms.
In addition to developing reports and data models, the Report Engineer, helps drive data governance, AI readiness, self-service reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across Digital Operations. The position is expected to mentor team members, influence reporting standards, and ensure that analytics solutions align with customer needs and organizational objectives.

- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and business requirements.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Support enterprise analytics initiatives within Microsoft Fabric and related data platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, usability, and quality through validation and user acceptance testing.
- Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and data solutions.
- Document and manage project work using Jira and Agile methodologies.
- Communicate insights and the value of analytics solutions to business stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and promote reporting, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and data-driven decision making.
- Some travel may be required (international) which will require a valid passport and/or work visas.
What you need:- Advanced Power BI report development and data modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, semantic models, and enterprise analytics solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Power Query, and data analysis techniques.
- Understanding of drilling operations, drilling performance metrics, and H&P business processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to business audiences.
- Experience gathering requirements and delivering customer-focused solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
