Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Reporting Developer with 5-10+ years of experience and strong expertise in Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI to design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership teams to transform complex data into meaningful dashboards, reports, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL, data modeling, dashboard development, and reporting analytics experience and be able to work independently in an onsite, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Create and optimize data models, datasets, and semantic layers to support reporting requirements.
• Develop complex calculations, KPIs, measures, and data transformations.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
• Optimize report performance and implement BI development best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Publish, schedule, and manage reports using Tableau Server or Power BI Service.
• Support production issues, troubleshoot reporting defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Provide reporting documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer as required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership teams to support executive reporting and actionable business insights.
Required Qualifications:
• 5-10+ years of experience in reporting development, business intelligence, analytics, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI.
• Expertise in creating dashboards, reports, scorecards, and executive-level visualizations.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience with data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in Power BI DAX, Power Query, Tableau Calculations, Parameters, LOD Expressions, and Filters.
• Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of ETL and data integration tools and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with KPI frameworks, executive reporting, and self-service analytics.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Healthcare domain experience.
• Experience in Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial Services domains.
• Tableau Server Administration or Power BI Administration experience.
• Experience with data governance and report security implementation.
• Knowledge of reporting automation and dashboard optimization techniques.
• Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an onsite client-facing environment.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
Certifications:
• Tableau Certified Professional and/or Power BI Certification is a plus.
