Job Summary:

Caterpillar's Electric Power Division has an open opportunity as a Rental Power Senior Account Manager. The Senior Account Manager assures dealer experience by developing tailored solutions that address power rental dealer needs and anticipates market demands and aligns solutions proactively to drive growth.

What You Will Do:
  • Following organizational policies and procedures and maintaining clear and direct line of communication within the organization to meet customer requirements.
  • Consult with dealers and internal business partners on the subject of sales, service and process support of product to "corporate account" customers.
  • Conduct product performance studies, assess customer job sites efficiency, collecting product and customer requirements in order to capitalize opportunities for incremental sales to create business case for product improvement process and new product introduction programs
  • Work directly with customers to collect information, sell additional products and services to current customers, and ensure customers' needs are met.


What You Will Have
  • Customer Focus: Extensive experience and knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Cross disciplinary experience and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Comprehensive experience and knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Account Management: Wide-ranging experience and knowledge of account management; ability to manage day-to-day activities, providing services and support to existing clients.


Top Candidates Will Also Have:
  • Prior experience with Caterpillar generator sets.
  • Prior experience with developing Rental dealer operations or product support.


Additional Information:
  • This position can be located in Dallas, TX, Lafayette, IN, Mossville, IL or Griffin, GA and requires 5-day a week on-site availability
  • Relocation is not available for this role
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
  • 25% travel expected, both domestic and international


Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
