Overview

The Reliability Technician position is responsible for the oversight of plant Predictive Maintenance activities and technologies. 

Responsibilities
  • Oversight of Oil Analysis program. The Reliability Technician will oversee the evaluation of lube oil analysis results by the lubrication technician. The Reliability Technician will ensure a work order is written for any required Corrective Actions identified in the report. He/She will also coordinate with the Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to ensure the timely completion of the work orders.
  • Oversight of Waites IIoT vibration program. The reliability Technician will be the first line contact for any vibration notifications from the Waites IIoT system. He/She will evaluate notification and generate work orders for all required Corrective Actions identified by the notifications. He/She will also be responsible for maintaining the plants engagement KPI as it relates to the Waites system. He/She will also coordinate with the Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to ensure the timely completion of the work orders.
  • Oversight of the plants electrical infrared scans. He Reliability Technician will coordinate with the lead Electrical Engineer to evaluate and assign all required Corrective Actions identified by the monthly Infrared scan report. He/She will be responsible for writing work orders pertaining to these actions. He/She will also coordinate with the Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to ensure the timely completion of the work orders.
  • Oversight of plants Maintenance stores and BOMs. The Reliability Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment BOMs for existing equipment as well as the creation of BOMs for newly installed or modified equipment. He/She will research and make recommendations to the Engineering Team for new stock items or substitutes for current stock items.
  • Oversight and Maintenance of Engineering drawings and documents. The Reliability Technician will be responsible for cataloguing new and existing Engineering drawings and documentation to include the upgrading of legacy blueprints, electronic storage of documents and the development and implementation of a document control policy.
  • Perform any additional tasks or functions as required by the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • AutoCad training preferred but not required

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years9 experience in and industrial manufacturing facility with knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good oral and written communication skills and good team building skills.
  • Capability to work in an unsupervised position effectively.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical documents, such as: OEM Maintenance plans, Blue prints, Advanced Lubrication Technology instruction and recommendations , Software system instructions.
  • Capability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for the purpose of interpreting alarms, calculating inventory and calculating spare parts quantity considerations.
  • Basic computer literacy, including the capability to operate standard email, spreadsheet, word processing and moderately complex software, and employ web-based programs, knowledge of SAP.
  • Understanding of fundamental lubrication, vibration, infrared, and general maintenance concepts
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Certified to perform lockout-tag out procedures.
