Full Job Description
Stratos Wealth Partners | Remote | Travel up to 50%
The Opportunity:

As Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of connection for a regional portfolio of affiliated advisors and firms, helping them get the most from the platform and ensuring Stratos delivers on its commitments.

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the business of advice. You will own the relationship end to end: understanding each advisor's growth ambitions, connecting them to the right capability at the right moment, clearing what gets in their way, and holding the enterprise accountable to the commitments it makes. You will work from a [hybrid base] in your region and travel up to 50 percent to be present where your advisors are.
What you will do:
Own the Relationship
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for an assigned regional portfolio of Stratos-affiliated advisors and firms, from day-to-day service coordination through long-term business planning.
  • Build trusted relationships with advisors, principals, and key operating staff; learn their business models, economics, and priorities; and maintain a deliberate engagement cadence.
  • Develop practical relationship plans that capture business objectives, goals, opportunities, risks, commitments, and next actions to drive organic growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead recurring business reviews that connect relationship goals to service performance, growth priorities, platform capabilities, and agreed measures of success.
  • Monitor relationship health and early signals of retention risk, coordinate timely intervention, and escalate material concerns through established channels.
Drive Advisor Growth and Platform Value
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities with your firms, including organic growth, asset consolidation, referral development, practice-management support, and expanded use of Stratos capabilities.
  • Help advisors understand and adopt the platform, investment, custody, technology, and planning resources that genuinely fit their business model.
  • Partner with sales and subject-matter experts to qualify opportunities, coordinate discovery, and maintain clear ownership through resolution or handoff.
  • Drive adoption of Stratos' Advisor Insights Platform, Stratos Investment Management's offerings, and SEI's custody and investment solutions.
  • Carry advisor feedback and competitive insight back into Stratos so we sharpen what we build and how we serve.
Coordinate, Resolve, and Execute
  • Act as the advisor's advocate and quarterback across service, operations, product, technology, compliance, investments, practice management, onboarding, and sales.
  • Clarify ownership, timelines, dependencies, and communications for client requests and initiatives.
  • Lead resolution of routine and moderately complex issues, and escalate regulatory, legal, reputational, contractual, or high-impact commercial matters promptly.
  • Maintain accurate relationship plans, opportunities, meeting notes, action items, risk indicators, and reporting in our CRM and reporting tools.
  • Work within applicable policies, procedures, licensing requirements, supervisory expectations, and documentation standards.
How Success will be Measured:

Performance in this role is evaluated across a balanced set of relationship, growth, and execution outcomes:
  • Advisor and firm retention, satisfaction, and overall relationship health as measured by Net Promoter Score and direct affiliate feedback.
  • Execution of relationship plans and business-review commitments.
  • Organic growth, qualified referrals, and expansion opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Appropriate adoption and utilization of Stratos and SEI capabilities.
  • Timely issue resolution, effective escalation, and strong cross-functional partnership.
  • Quality of CRM records, forecast accuracy, documentation, and control discipline.

Compensation consists of a competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to these outcomes.
Why this Role Matters:

Advisors choose Stratos because they want to stay independent without going at it alone. The Relationship Manager is where that choice is proven, every single day. Do this job well and advisors grow faster, run better businesses, and stay for the long term, and the enterprise we are building gets stronger with every relationship you deepen.
Benefits and Rewards:

To help you stay energized, engaged, and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits through our parent company, SEI, including comprehensive care for your physical and mental well-being, a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, a hybrid working environment, support for working parents, and flexible time off so you can relax, recharge, and be there for the people you care about.
What we need from you
  • At least five years of relevant experience in wealth management, registered investment advisers, advisor platforms, custody, asset management, broker-dealer services, financial technology, or a closely related client-facing financial-services environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing ongoing business relationships and coordinating solutions across multiple internal teams.
  • Working knowledge of advisor practice models, wealth-management operations, investment and custody concepts, platform technology, and the regulatory environment supporting RIAs and hybrid firms.
  • Ability to lead a business conversation, communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and turn complex issues into practical next steps.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort using CRM, reporting, presentation, and collaboration tools to manage a portfolio.
  • Active FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 registration.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 percent to support advisor meetings, events, and territory coverage.
What we would like from you
  • Experience supporting independent advisors, RIAs, hybrid firms, affiliated practices, or multi-custody environments.
  • FINRA Series 7 registration, and a CFP, CIMA, CRPC, or CFA designation.
  • Fluency with CRM, portfolio accounting, financial planning, and custodial platforms.
  • Experience facilitating business reviews, relationship plans, advisor events, or practice-management conversations.
  • Comfort in a growing organization where process is still being built, tested, and improved.
  • Someone who will embody our values of People First, Empower Entrepreneurs, Positive Can-Do Attitude, Embrace Collaboration and Do the Right Thing.
