DescriptionThe Regulatory Consulting Associate has primary responsibility for preparation of plan documents, plan amendments, resolutions, SPDs, SMMs and certain IRS / DOL filings. Works under general supervision of Principal & Senior Regulatory Compliance Consultant and exercises initiative and independent judgment in tasks performed.
What You Will Do In this role, you will:
- Prepare plan documents, amendments, resolutions, policies and procedures, SPDs and SMMs for the DC (Defined Contributions) team
- Prepare certain IRS/DOL filings and corrections
- Research and consulting support on regulatory/legislative and compliance items
What We Are Looking For Required Professional Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience with an expertise in retirement plan documents and strong working knowledge of 401(k) plans.
Preferred Professional Qualifications
- ERISA Paralegal preferred
- Experience with FIS Relius documents is a plus
- QKC certification preferred
Personal Qualifications
- Works well within a team environment and takes ownership of personal work product
- Proficiency in the use of computers and other general office equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Able to productively respond to change
- Excellent organization and time management skills
Location This role is based out of the Milliman office in Dallas, Texas, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US. The expected application deadline for this job is August 31, 2026
Compensation The overall salary range for this role is $65,200 - $119,830. For candidates residing in:
- Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $74,980 - $119,830.
- All other locations the salary range is $65,200 - $104,200.
A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
