Minimum qualifications:
  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience with legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
  • Experience advising on energy regulations.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 10 years of attorney-level experience with legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, such as state attorneys general, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DoJ), and other energy regulatory authorities.
  • Experience with affirmative litigation, including through industry associations.
  • Experience coordinating across multi-jurisdictional regulatory and civil inquiries, driving consistent strategy and accuracy.
  • Experience working with public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
  • Familiarity with other regulators across the Americas, EMEA and APAC.


About the job

As a Regulatory Affairs, Global Investigations and Enforcement Counsel, within Energy, you will join an Americas-based team responsible for regulatory investigations and enforcement and overlapping civil litigation within the Americas and for developing global strategy for multi-regional issues. You will focus on the energy and infrastructure landscape, such as emerging AI energy performance standards, data center sustainability labeling, grid regionalization efforts, and localized regulation of data centers. You will be involved in defining and driving strategy, conducting investigations, collection and review of information, and representing the company in engagements.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $252000 - $352000 (USD) 25% bonus target equity benefits
